More planning, less posing

Understandably, most couples don’t wish to spend hours posing on their wedding day, so we will plan a little gap when your guests are relaxing with a glass of fizz or getting seated for dinner, for you to briefly slip away for a stroll to gather some relaxed couple photos. Together, we will discover the best light and backdrop for your unique wedding story. One of my gifts is the ability to coax and cheer even the most camera shy to produce images you will cherish forever!

Relax, trust and enjoy your special day

Although all weddings have a schedule, often things don’t go to plan, weather can be bad, traffic trims your drinks reception and so on. In these cases, I will work closely with you to find a gap in the rain, or find a nice setting at your venue for portraits, maybe ask you step out while guests are having coffee, rather than post-ceremony. The main thing is to trust my experience and work together to find the best solution to still get photographs you love. There is no one that wants your wedding photographs to be beautiful more than your wedding photographer!

(Informal) Formals

Before your wedding I will ask for a short list of group photos, so you don’t have to remember on the day. I usually take a handful of traditional family ones for granny’s mantel straight after your ceremony, whilst leaving the ones of you and your besties for a sofa, or even dance floor later on. This produces a lively selection of photographs with varied backdrops, as well as keeping your schedule flowing easefully.

Building a connection with you

Having photographed hundreds of weddings, I will guide you through the process. Wedding photography is a very personal experience, as I will be with you throughout your whole day, in the big moments and the quieter ones. To prepare well and create and inspire relaxation, it is important to build a connection with you before your big day, so my rate includes a pre-meet either online or meeting for coffee where possible. My approach is very discreet, whether mingling with guests in the background, looking for ways to capture your unique story from different perspectives, or capturing the big showcase moments, all without interrupting the flow of things.
