Engagement stories

Whether you are planning a proposal or would like to gain confidence in front of the camera before your wedding, a London portrait session is a great way to gather lots of beautiful photographs together.

There are so many iconic buildings in London that serve as great backdrops, and if you are a nature lover, there are lots of wonderful Royal parks here or even the more expansive, wild Hampstead Heath. Whatever location has more meaning to you, I will tailor a relaxed route around your choice spots. As a Londoner myself, I know all the back streets and hidden gems that will delight you.

Kerrin & Hamrit’s Westminster proposal

This lovely American chap got in touch with a very grand idea of proposing to his gorgeous girlfriend Hamrit in front of Westminster! They had booked a special brunch that morning, and Hamrit looked amazing in her yellow dress. We agreed to coordinate at 8am, and I casually pretended to photograph the houses of parliament while he assumed position. It was a lot of fun! I am not sure how he persuaded Hamrit to get ready so early, but it really paid off...glorious morning light and empty London streets.

Lucek & Agi’s proposal at The Garden at 100

If your schedule allows, the best light and quietest time to consider a session, is either early morning or early evening. Lucek surprised his lovely girlfriend with a proposal before dinner at one of London’s very cool rooftop restaurants. We coordinated at sunset, and they strolled around the gardens to find a quiet spot, and I discretely followed them with my lens in hand. Agi had such an emotional response and it was very moving to witness.
