FAQs

What’s your style?

My style is a mixture of modern documentary photography and sensitively composed portraits. I have quite an understated, gentle manner, and try to support and encourage couples, rather than directing them too much. I look for harmony and simplicity in the busiest scenes, and keep my framing classical and my editing natural and light.

How long do you stay at a wedding?

My standard day rate captures everything from morning preparations, until approximately an hour onto your dance floor. I can offer more coverage for larger events, or less coverage at off-peak times, and will create a bespoke quote if you tell me more about your plans.

Do we need to tell you what to photograph?

For the most the part, I work in a ‘fly on the wall’ documentary style, capturing the atmosphere of your wedding. I do ask couples to create a small group list, to ensure you get photographs with your nearest and dearest. In our pre-wedding meeting, we will chat about what is important to you - this can be handmade details on your dinner tables or even the family pet! I will be sure to keep these things in mind as I work, so you are left with a unique collection that is personal to you.

Do we need two photographers?

Generally I favour working alone, as this allows me to be very discreet and blend in to capture everybody at their most natural and beautiful. However if you are inviting more than 100 guests, or feel there are lots of things you’d like to be captured simultaneously, I am connected with a pool of talented photographers and I can arrange a second photographer for the day.

When will our photographs be ready?

My turnaround time is 3 weeks, as I spend a lot of care and attention selecting the best frames, adjusting light, tone and colour to give you a consistent collection. In quieter seasons, I try to deliver your photographs sooner. Rest assured, the day after your wedding you will find a little thank- you message in your inbox with a handful of choice frames.
